This is my city: Barcelona

Although we’re still a small company ReignDesign now has four global offices: in Shanghai, Barcelona, Bangkok and Santiago. In this blog series we’re going to introduce our home cities to you through the voices of our team. We’ve asked one ReignDesign team member in each city to recommend a cool place to visit, to eat, to drink and to sleep!

Our developer Alex Campayo hails from Barcelona, Spain.

Visit here – Park Güell

Park Güell is one of the major works of Gaudí in Barcelona, and there you have the best views of Barcelona!

Eat here – Supanniga Eating Room

In Barcelona there are very good typical restaurants such a 7 Portes, Ten’s, Bar Mut or 4 gats, but I would like to recommend a hidden local restaurant which is called O’Retorno, where you can eat cheap Galician food (North of Spain style) at a good price. It’s located at 168 Comte D’urgell street, Eixample area.

Drink here – Harlem Jazz Club

It’s a place where you can enjoy live music and take a drink in the center of Barcelona. Harlem Jazz Club is located at 8 Comtessa de Sobradiel street, Gothic quarter.

Sleep here – Airbnb

There are a lot of very good hotels in Barcelona, such as Arts Hotel or Vela Hotel but they’re very expensive. On the other hand, the center of the city is very crowded and I think it’s not a good idea to book a hotel there. That’s why I think the best and cheapest accommodation you can find in the center of Barcelona is booking an apartment in Sagrada Familia district by Airbnb or similar websites.
